Backlit switches and panels are widely used to enhance visibility, especially in automotive dashboards and window switches. This is achieved by diffusing light for uniform illumination, improving the discernibility of controls and symbols.
However, when light passes through a diffuse material like a backlit symbol or light guide, it's intensity can diminish significantly. This poses a challenge, as the transmitted light may become too dim for standard photometers to measure effectively. Consequently, the reduction in intensity introduces noise to the measurements, complicating the accuracy and reliability of the testing process.
To address this challenge, Feasa has developed the Feasa Low Light LED Analyser—a cost-effective, multichannel tool with high sensitivity that allows for accurate testing of dim LEDs, backlit switches, panels, and light guides.
